Our speaker on this occasion will be our very own Dave Foot and his subject: "Caucasian Steam".
A lifetime railway travel enthusiast, Dave will describe the 3500 mile rail trip he made in 2018, from Moscow to St Petersburg, involving 17 restored Soviet era steam locomotives. He will also provide an overview of the Chechnya region and describe how the Russians are now capitalising on having hosted the Sochi Winter Olympics and the 2018 FIFA World Cup competition.
