Members today visited Lymington-based Gill Group, the independent business founded in 1985 by Michael and Lesley Gill at their home in Milford-on-Sea.  The company subsequently relocated to Solent House in Cannon Street, Lymington, then to sites in the Ampress and Saltmarsh business parks. It currently employs 130 staff, has a turnover of almost £20m and a strategy for further growth.

Gill trades globally and was recently honoured with the Kings Award for Enterprise in International Trade.

 We were welcomed by CEO Alan Brooke and members of his management team, who gave us an introduction to the company, its innovative weather and flow measurement products and its focus on innovation, quality and customer support.

Our tour of the factory was followed by lunch and a wide-ranging Q&A session.
