Members of our men’s and ladies’ clubs met today for our monthly “drop-in” pub lunch, this time at The Chequers inn. The weather was wet and windy, but ten members and Baxter, an assistance dog and drop-in “regular”, attended.
The Chequers is a picturesque 16th-century English pub located between Keyhaven and Lymington, on the edge of the historic Lymington Salt Marsh and Nature Reserve.
Lunch followed, and the conversation and ale flowed freely. Members left to return home two hours later, during a break in the rainy weather.
