Lentune Probus Club is pleased to announce the launch today of a smart, secure Members Area on the club’s website.

The Members Area contains all confidential information about the Club, its members and officials. And in what is believed to be a first for the Probus movement, the site uses dedicated software to administer club activities electronically.

Initially, the website will administer club monthly meetings. Members will login to the Members Area to book, update or cancel their attendance at meetings and (if attending) to order their lunch from a menu that changes monthly. This information will then be emailed automatically to South Lawn Hotel, the Club’s meeting venue, at an agreed date and time. And immediately before each meeting, the website will prepare individual place cards and a seating plan.

Later this year, the website will also be used to administer club social events, making the job of organising future events much easier.

Welcoming the launch of the Members Area, Club Chairman Jim Thomas said: “by automating much routine club administration, we shall be able to devote more time to improving our services and support to members, while exceeding the requirements of current data protection legislation”.
