Members from our Ladies and Men's clubs visited Salisbury Cathedral today, to learn about graffiti left by the people who designed, built and worshipped-in this beautiful building..

We saw drawings left by the stonemasons who crafted the Cathedral and learned the hidden stories of people who worked-in and visited it during the past eight-hundred years.

Many members also took the opportunity to inspect the World's oldest working clock during their visit. Others viewed and learned about the Magna Carta, the best preserved copy of which is on display in the Cathedral's Chapter house.

Our visit concluded with lunch and much discussion, in the Cathedral's Refectory.

Thanks are due to the Cathedral staff who organised, administered and led our  graffiti tour.
