Monthly Meeting

Our speaker today is Philip St Lawrence.

Philip is a historian, writer and speaker, resident in Hampshire, who brings history alive through his illustrated talks on a wide range of subjects. A drama school graduate, he believes passionately that talks should be "performed" to inspire, inform and entertain.

Each of his talks recounts a great moment in history therefore in an inspirational and entertaining way. He is a regular speaker at clubs, festivals, and cruise ships.

Phllip will tell a gripping tale of lavish lifestyles, media manipulation and the betrayal of Britain, before and after the abdication. This is a story of encouragement to Hitler, appeasement, plotting and intrigue as the Duke of Sussex and Wallis Simpson sustain their Nazi liaison.  Yet today, have the lessons of history been learnt?
