Monthly Meeting
Julia Baker who is a volunteer for the Minstead Trust and a fellow volunteer are coming to give us a talk on the history of Furzey Gardens. For those of you who have not visited the gardens, they are a 12 acre hidden gem at Minstead, near Lyndhurst. The gardens are full of rare plants, winding pathways, a cosy thatched tea room and for the young and young at heart over 40 fairy doors to find. They are also a social enterprise providing training and work experience for people with learning disabilities. The talk covers 100 years of Furzey Gardens, how the gardens came to be part of the Minstead Trust and a bit about the current work of the Trust.
