The Elderflower Restaurant was opened in March 2014 by chef Andrew Du Bourg and his wife Marjolaine.
Yorkshire born Andrew trained at Bournemouth & Poole College and the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, then gained experience in a number of top London restaurants, eventually becoming Head Chef at Club Gascon. A move to the South Coast followed, to become Head Chef at the 5-star Chewton Glen Hotel.
Marjolaine was born in the Poitou-Charentes region of France, trained at a specialised catering school in La Rochelle, then worked in Switzerland and France. Keen to learn English, she moved to London, where she progressed to Food & Beverage Manager at Cellar Gascon.
With over 26 years combined experience of fine dining, the couple are now realising their dream to run a restaurant, in the grade 2 listed building at 4A Quay Street, Lymington, formerly Georgina Campbell's Bluebird Restaurant. The Elderflower style is understandably English with a French influence.
Andrew was Hampshire Chef of the Year in 2016, the restaurant has 3 AA rosettes, has been Michelin recommended since 2015, has a string of other awards and is considered by many to be the best eatery in Lymington.
Lentune Probus Club has booked the entire restaurant for our Spring Luncheon and members can look forward to an exceptional dining experience. The price per person, exclusive of drinks and coffee but inclusive of service, is £28.60 for 3 courses or £24.20 for two courses.
Parking is available on the Quayside, in Gosport Street and behind Tesco in the High Street. Members should aim to arrive at 12.00 for 12.30pm.
Reservations and menu choices must be made online and a cheque for the appropriate amount, payable to Lentune Probus Club, should be sent to the organiser, Bill Basham as soon as possible, to secure your reservation. Space is limited and bookings will be accepted on a "first come, first served" basis.
There may be some small adjustments to the menu nearer the time, dependent on the ingredients available. If so, you will be notified and invited to change your menu choice should you wish. This will not affect the prices.
